Alright - Seems Solid-ish but still stinks

"Solid wood but this is a softwood species which means it can be dented easily and one of the boxes was damaged and so was some of the parts. One visible part on the bed is split and we didn't notice until it was assembled. For kids, this isn't great as they will have a habit of banging things into it. One slightly annoying part of the process is different parts ship separately so it was a while until the stairs and trundle arrived. The part we don't like about this bed is it is still off gassing and still makes the room stink. We don't have any other furniture in the room yet or even the mattresses so we know it's the bed itself. Manufactured in Vietnam so I'm not sure how confident the "low" VOCs claims are but it hasn't improved after a week and ventilating the room only helps temporary."

"My kids love their new bed…the stairs! All amazing! The quality is so far so good! My husband and oldest son put it together, no complaints. you can pick which side you want the stairs to go on which helps it fit in your room perfectly how you want it. "Wobbly. Color not as pictured (no not even any of the 3 tones they show in different lighting). It all looks fake but has a weird color as if someone stained a board but didn’t wipe the stain off. Customer service is truly a bot—went in email circles with responses in under 60 seconds until a human finally took over. The legs at the foot of the top bunk are bigger than the rail they rest on, so it looks like you either did something wrong during assembly or this is poorly thought out. Slats fit loosely inside their cut outs. I don’t want any part of my children’s bed “loose,” and there are so many areas where this is the case. Trundle is exposed at the ends of the bed, making it look cheap and unfinished. Overall, I would not purchase this again anywhere near this price."

What is the total width with the trundle bed extended?

Will this bunk bed work well for 8’ ceiling rooms? I am wondering if a full size adult (6ft height) can get up the bunk without hitting their head on the ceiling? In other words I am looking to understand the height of the last step from the ground.
Hi Rahul, yes this bed will work for an adult. The adult will need to duck their head with an 8 ft ceiling but will be able to comfortably fit. We recommend a low profile 5 inch mattress to optimize space!
