Overall it’s a pretty bunk
"Overall it’s a pretty bunk bed but I have a few gripes against it. First is hard to describe but I don’t like how the vertical leg of the top bunk frame is slightly wider than the frame of the bottom bunk. Because of this, the top bunk leg overhangs the lower bunk rail rather than lining up flush with it. And it’s only like this on one side. Why didn’t they just design the bottom bunk bed to have the top rail on both sides? Second, the slats under the mattress are quite spaced apart. I read somewhere that I should get a 5” inch mattress to increase head room. I bought one on Amazon and when I get on the bed I feel like I’m sliding through the slats. I’m going to have to get a plyboard for both beds to give more stability and so I don’t feel the slats - also should have just gotten a taller mattress! Third, the ladder didn’t attach the way the manual showed. We couldn’t get it to be perpendicular with the ground and get the screws in bc the screw holes were probably almost an inch higher than the bunk. So we just have it free hanging at angle. Fourth, be advised that the drawers underneath are not attached to the bed frame and do not use drawer slides. Instead, they are rolling drawers with small caster wheels that simply roll in and out from under the bed. I personally wish they were attached to the bed frame. Lastly, the manual has zero words of instructions. All pictures. This did lead to some frustration. It took us about 4 hours to assemble it (not including the drawers. We did that at a separate time)."
