"This review is at the request of my kids who truly love their Modern Farmhouse Full Panel beds. They are solid, sturdy and very good looking beds. We bought two of them and the quality is satisfactory. There is no chemical smell, which is a big plus. The surface is not smooth and shiny, but that is what we like, and it adds to the character. On the down side, assembly took a while (3 hrs), so you have to take that into consideration when getting ready to put the bed together. Bottom line, highly recommend this bed."

- Can the trundle roll out from either side? Is there a footboard to cover the trundle on the side that it does not roll out of?
- Yes, you can choose the side the trundle rolls out of when assembling the bed. The trundle face will overlap the bottom of the bedrail slightly to prevent it from rolling underneath the bed, keeping fingers safe and the trundle from getting out of reach!
- does the bottom fit a 6 inch mattress?
- We recommend a 5" mattress not to exceed 6" for the trundle.
