"Do not recommend. it has huge gaps between the boards, a soft mattress gets all curved. In addition when the delivery guy damaged our handrails at delivery while we were not home. we contacted Max and lily immediately, and the first customer service said they were going to take care of it, After 2 weeks they told us it is not their business. well, first and last time buying anything from this company."

"We LOVE this bunk bed! At first when we put it together, it seemed short and we had wished we purchased the version with feet (which they had, but not in the color we liked so we decided to go with the shorter bed). But now, we really have grown to love the fact that it's a bit shorter and makes the rest of the room feel bigger because of that! My daughter sleeps on the top (she's 9 yrs) and my son sleeps on the bottom (he's 2. 5 yrs). I do wish the top bed was a little higher from the bottom--an adult cannot sit on the bottom bunk without hitting their head if they are average height (I am 5'4"" and I can't sit on the bottom bunk with my head comfortably under the top bunk) but it's great for my son who is little and just graduated from his crib. (If he rolls off it's a short distance to the floor). Another issue was delivery--the box was very beat up so two of the white border pieces were damaged, but max and lily were great about sending replacement parts--we are waiting for those, but they are on the way. Overall love this sturdy beautiful bed and would highly recommend!"

Worth every penny!
"Great bunk bed. I love that its solid wood and was easy to assemble. The finish / color is grea and my kids love it. Actually look forward to lying in their beds. As an extra flair, i added LED lights and it gives a very glow at night, which also functions as their night light. The only caveat is that the configuration that i wanted for the steps was not listed on the manual. So i was still able to assemble it but the white part was only finished on one side. Its wasnt a huge deal at all as no one can even see or notice it except me."

- We will be using the bed for college age and older. Does the white guard rail have to be installed?

- Hello, The underbed height is 31". If you use the recommended 5" mattress this will give you 26" of space between the top of the mattress and the bottom of the top bunk. Thank you
