It's always on sale. Need more slats

"We paid 499 in September 26 FYI . Hi- this bed is very cute and seems sturdy. But the bed slats are way too far apart like 12 inches apart. We bought two different twin size mattress- one a hybrid from Room & Board and one from Casper. Both of them are bowing because there is not enough support for the mattress. My kids are 2 & 5 and weigh next to nothing. They have slept in the bed for like a week and I can see the hybrid mattress becoming bowed (i can see where the slat is by just looking at the mattress from the top). When I reached out to costumer service they acted like they were going to help but then said oh we understand but sorry you just have to buy the slats from us for another $80 each. So just budget for that. So I need to spend another $160 to make it work."

bad product and bad customer service, do not recommend

"Do not recommend. it has huge gaps between the boards, a soft mattress gets all curved. In addition when the delivery guy damaged our handrails at delivery while we were not home. we contacted Max and lily immediately, and the first customer service said they were going to take care of it, After 2 weeks they told us it is not their business. well, first and last time buying anything from this company."

Love this bed! Had some minor issues but love it!

"We LOVE this bunk bed! At first when we put it together, it seemed short and we had wished we purchased the version with feet (which they had, but not in the color we liked so we decided to go with the shorter bed). But now, we really have grown to love the fact that it's a bit shorter and makes the rest of the room feel bigger because of that! My daughter sleeps on the top (she's 9 yrs) and my son sleeps on the bottom (he's 2. 5 yrs). I do wish the top bed was a little higher from the bottom--an adult cannot sit on the bottom bunk without hitting their head if they are average height (I am 5'4"" and I can't sit on the bottom bunk with my head comfortably under the top bunk) but it's great for my son who is little and just graduated from his crib. (If he rolls off it's a short distance to the floor). Another issue was delivery--the box was very beat up so two of the white border pieces were damaged, but max and lily were great about sending replacement parts--we are waiting for those, but they are on the way. Overall love this sturdy beautiful bed and would highly recommend!"

If at some point we no longer wish to use the top bunk as a bed, to make it look more sleek, can we remove the white railing? Thank you.

We will be using the bed for college age and older. Does the white guard rail have to be installed?
Hey Kasey! The white guard rail must be installed on the top bunk for safety reasons. If you are interested in our mid-century modern style bunk beds and are looking for a bunk bed better suited for people that are college age and older, we recommend checking out the taller version of this bed. Hello, The underbed height is 31". If you use the recommended 5" mattress this will give you 26" of space between the top of the mattress and the bottom of the top bunk. Thank you

Can the opening at the head of the bed be placed at the foot of the bed but still on the side so the ladder is essentially just scooted over to the left based on the pictures shown?
