Does “reversible ladder” mean that it can go at either end of the bed? The sample in the pic has the ladder on the right hand end. Can it also go on the left hand end? I ask because the kids’ are used to a bed where the ladders on the left at the “foot” of the bed when the headboard is against the wall.

Hey there! Unfortunately, a 12-inch mattress would be too thick for either bunk on this bed. On the bottom bunk, a 12-inch mattress would not leave enough headroom, and on the top bunk, it would not leave enough functional guard rail height.
