- Can i use a 16 inch queen mattress on the bottom of the twin/queen bunk bed.

There is only 33 inches of space between the slats of the bottom bunk and the slats of the top bunk, so we don't recommend using a 16 inch mattress on your bottom bunk as there would not be enough head space. We recommend checking out our 8-inch queen-size memory foam mattress, which provides plenty of comfort and support while leaving room to sit up comfortably.
