"Love the design/look of the bed. I also love that you can fully stand-up underneath, makes space saving great! The wood is very easily scratchable, the finish is very easy to come off if you accidentally scrape it, so just keep that in mind. A few things I would change. The shelves are not permanent fixtures, it is just a board that is dropped into a frame and can be popped out with very little effort, so I wouldn't consider it "sturdy". I'm sure that after a little while the boards will probably lose some of their "shape" and warp, just due to the material they are made out of, but we'll see. Hopefully not. The ladder steps are not very sturdy either, in my opinion, they seem like they will probably not last as long as the bed itself, but we'll see. I also am not a fan that the ladder is very movable, even when screwed into the frame of the bed. Just makes me nervous with an energetic child. It looks great and is very cute, just a few things I would change (mainly for safety/stability). I did not have any issues building it by myself as a 4'9" female adult. Took approximately 3 hours altogether, including putting the desk together and attaching to the bed. I wish they had a matching chair that came with the set, I didn't see one, so I may have just missed it."

"It took 6 hours to put our first daughters bed together. It only took us 3. 5 for our next daughter’s bed. They are very cute beds. Our oldest daughter who’s in 5th grade has used the desk to do homework and art and watch videos. Our youngest daughter loves to make a mess with the bookcase but has mastered walking up and down the ladder. Good beds. We are very satisfied right now."

- Does the desk have to be attached to the loft bed or can we place it against another part of the bedroom along a wall? I don’t think it would work for us attached to the bed. But we like this bed!
- Hi Maribel! The desk does not have to be attached to the loft bed. It can be placed along another wall in the room if that works better for your space. That said, the desk does come with screws if you prefer to attach it to the bed for added stability.
- Is the 8 inch memory foam matress you have safe for the loft beds? How much railing is left with the 8 inch matress?
- Hi, we do recommend our 5 inch and 8 inch mattress for the loft bed. The maximum is 8 inches for safety! Thank you!
