"I looked at several styles of bunk beds at a few local furniture stores but everything seemed way overpriced for the product. I decided to try my luck online and read review after review on a variety of bunks and found this. I loved the style, color, and price of the set plus the great reviews on the company's other beds and products. I received the set 3 days earlier than expected and got to work. It took me a little less than 2 hours to put together, by myself, with 2 kids running around. I did have help lifting the top bunk up to secure it. All in all, very sturdy, lots of bolts so it seems secure, great color, and great price. It'll definitely do for my son to grow into."

- Is your furniture GreenGuard certified? I don't see a Prop 65 warning, so I assume it is OK in that regard as well?
- Hello, Safety is our number one priority for our customers. Because of the high quality of our product and the safety tests and standards we currently meet and exceed with our testing program, which is comparable to Green Guard, we do not feel we require the additional Green Guard certification. Both programs test for heavy metals, formaldehyde, and VOC’s. Green Guard Gold is a certification program created by a third-party testing organization that tests specific environmental emissions in a different manner than current standards and regulations require. All Maxwood Furniture’s products are regularly tested for environmental emissions, including further environmental and technical testing beyond the scope of what is required for Green Guard certification. We do not need to have the Prop 65 warning on our furniture. Prop 65 Warning is only required as warning when a business knowingly has one or more chemicals from the Prop 65 list in their products. We know your children are your number one priority, which is why at Maxwood we take pride in making sure to not include any harmful chemicals in our furniture. California’s Prop 65 includes a long list of chemicals that are known to cause health risks. Of the chemicals on the list, the most common chemicals linked to furniture are Cadmium, Lead Content, and Phthalates.
