Love the color, and great

"Love the color, and great quality! We had issues with the first being damaged, but customer service had decent reply time and was great to work with to resolve the issue."

These beds are very sturdy.

"These beds are very sturdy. A bit of a challenge putting the stairs together, but it can be done."

Debbie H. (5/5)

Great bed!

"Love the bunk bed so far! Putting it together was not too bad! The stairs actually took longer than the bed itself I would say. My tip is to pay attention what direction to place the top bunk on the bottom bunk because it makes a difference for the stairs to fit next to it! The bed seems sturdy as it’s made of heavy wood. The design is nice and the kids like it so far…no complaints. Love the little storage space under the stairs for their favorite stuffies. Overall, satisfied with the quality."

Twin over twin bunkbed with stairs

"Beds are very well built, instructions manual could have been more useful if they would have used words, it was all pictures. Very stable beds and all the parts were enclosed."

Beverly D. (5/5)

Not happy with customer service

"The bed arrived & we moved out our kids' old beds to make room. We opened the box, set out all the parts & realized that several key parts were missing. We called them the next morning, and they told us to fill out a form online. I submitted the form right away and got an email that I would hear something back in 3-5 business days. A few days later, I got an email response saying that they had to forward my response to another department and I should hear something in another 2-5 business days. I finally got an email 10 days later saying that they are working on shipping out the parts. All the while my boys have been sleeping on mattresses on the floor. I paid too much money for this bed for it to take so long to get a key issue resolved - one that seems to be simple. I understand mistakes are made while packaging items. What I don't understand is why it was so complicated to get it resolved. I hope the bed itself is nice - we won't know until the parts finally arrive and we can actually assemble it."

Space saver for small room shared by two

"I bought this as a gift for my two granddaughters who share a room. They moved up from crib and toddler beds so I'm sure they find these beds very spacious! My son found the putting together of the beds somewhat challenging - especially the steps, he said. I purposefully bought the beds with the steps feature because I didn't want an injury from falling off a ladder. I am happy with this purchase and hope it will be used by these two girls for many years."

Marlys N. (5/5)

bunkbeds

"I bought the bunkbeds for our grandchildren when they come spend the night. Really pleased with the bunk beds we purchased. Sturdy, well built, good quality. Husband is pretty handy but steps took a good bit of time to assemble. The 8"" mattresses we also purchased are extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this company."

Karen H. (5/5)

Great bed, the instructions could use some help

"The bunk bed is great and my boys really like it. The only issue I had during construction was when we got to the step to construct the stairs. The image in the instructions was extremely confusing. Very Escher-esque. Otherwise the beds went together very nicely."

Q&A

Do the stairs open for storage?
Hey Ashley! The stairs on this bed do not open for storage, but there are three storage cubbies on the side of the staircase so your kiddos can store all their favorite toys, books, and more. We hope this information is helpful, and let us know if you have any other questions!
If we decide we don't want to use the staircase, can it be removed and a ladder added at a later date?
Hey Lindsey! Yes, this is an option! We do not currently have the ladders listed separately on our website, but if you contact our customer care department, we would be happy to help you find the right ladder for your bed and ship it to you to replace the staircase. You can use the chat function on our website or send us an email at customercare@maxandlily.com. We hope this information is helpful, and let us know if you have any other questions!
What is the height of the top bunk guardrail?
Absolutely! The height of the top bunk guardrail on the Twin over Twin Staircase Bunk Bed is super important for keeping you safe while you sleep.
