Reviews

Great quality for price. Bed

"Great quality for price. Bed said it could accommodate up to 400# yet I’m 140# and heard it creaking in spots so just be mindful about spreading out weight. Also ordered vanity panel. It came cracked two separate times and eventually just asked for a refund. But refund process was relatively painless. All in all a great product that I feel my 4.5 year old will use and transition into older years."

We absolutely love this bed.

"We absolutely love this bed. It is perfect in our "grandchildren's" room. Our 4 year old granddaughter was so excited we had an immediate sleepover. Great quality! Love the "all" real wood construction."

We’ve had our twin-over-full bunkbed

"We’ve had our twin-over-full bunkbed for over a week and it’s been great! Love the warm pecan wood color which isn’t too orange or yellow. The kids have been going up and down the ladder, playing around and love sleeping on it. The instructions were easy to follow and came with all the hardware. The wood had a few scruffs and scratches, but nothing that can be quickly covered up with one of those wood cover-up pens. Haven’t had a chance to test out the trundle yet."

Grandkids just love sleepovers with

"Grandkids just love sleepovers with the new bunk beds. Nice appearance. Like all bunk beds it is difficult to make the two beds. The lower bed definitely feels the movement of the upper bunk."

Q&A

Are the screws covered with white caps or are the silver screws exposed?
Hi Cathleen! The screws would be exposed.
Can a curtain fit over a full trundle bottom?
Hey Rebecca! We don't recommend using our bed curtains with our twin over full bunk beds, as the curtain would fall in the middle of the bottom bunk. We hope this information is helpful, and let us know if you have any other questions.
What inch full mattress would fit?
Hello! Thanks for reaching out with your question. When it comes to the Kids Solid Wood Twin-Over-Full Bunk Bed + Trundle Bed, we recommend using a standard full mattress. The ideal height should be 5 inches and not exceed 8 inches. This is to ensure your child's safety and comfort while sleeping on the bunk bed. Remember, the most important thing is that your kiddos have a safe and comfy place to dream about their next big adventure! Hope this helps!
Does the ladder easily remove to make the bed? Or is it attached with screws, etc. at construction of the bed?
Yes, the ladder is attached with screws.
Is the trundle rolling, or does it sit on the ground?
Hello, Yes, the trundle does have wheels. Thank you
Can these beds be broken down to separate free standing beds on their own ?
Hello, Yes! The Kid's Solid Wood Twin -Over-Full Bunk Bed can be separated into two free-standing beds. Thank you.
Can you use a regular full mattress on this bed? Or does it need to be lower profile?
Hello, We recommend a 5" mattress not to exceed 8" for most of our beds. The for the trundle we recommend a 5" mattress not to exceed 6". Thank you
Can you provide full product dimensions? Thinking things like railing height. I see the question about the recommended size of the mattress for the trundle bed, however whats the recommended size for the main beds…specifically the recommended height. We have a twin mattress we were planning on using for the top, however that mattress is 12” thick, and I’m worried that wouldn’t leave much railing up top.
Hi! The guardrails on the top bunk are approximately 14 inches tall. We recommend using standard twin size mattresses no thicker than 8 inches to maximize guardrail height on the top bunk. Thanks, The Max & Lily Team
Can the ladder be installed on the left side of the bed?
Hi! The ladder can be placed on either side of the bed to fit your space. Thanks, The Max & Lily Team
What is the width of the trundle bed? And what size mattress do you recommend for that?
Hi Kim, Our trundle bed is a twin-size trundle bed measuring about 40.5 inches wide. We recommend our low profile, twin-size memory foam mattress (linked here: https://maxandlily.com/products/5-inch-twin-memory-foam-mattress-with-breathable-washable-cotton-cover). Please let us know if we can help with anything else!
