The one extra my husband did was we bought a 4x8 sheet of 1/4” paneling and he cut it to the shape of the top bed and laid it down first then laid the support cross bars on top so that when laying in the bottom bed and look up you see a nicely finished panel."

"Took husband 3-4 hours to put together. Didn't have the issue with the screws stripping. Did have a couple of the minor blemishes/dings on bed pieces we received that another reviewer mentioned, but they were minor and for the price, the quality and sturdiness of the bed exceeds expectations. We were looking for a bunk bed with height so that an adult can sit up on the bottom bunk and this achieves that, so our kids will be able to use this for years. Recommend!"
"Beautiful piece of furniture, especially for the price. The pecan finish is really nice and mid century style is done well. Putting it together was a bit of a nightmare. It took 5 hours and is mostly Hex based wrenching. The bolts are at an angle where it is impossible to screw in without stripping. Overall pleased with the bed after the saga lf putting it together"

"Overall we love the new bunk bed. There were some blemishes on the stair rail and leg that bummed us out but weren’t enough of an issue to deconstruct and send it back. It is quite tall! Would be awesome if there was a version without the additional height"

- HI Natasha! We recommend nothing over 8 inches for the top bunk to take full advantage of the safety of the guardrails.
- Is this green guard gold certified?
- Hi Scott! Great question 😊 At this time, the item is not yet GREENGUARD Gold certified, as it is a newer product. However, certification is currently in the works. In the meantime, please rest assured that it does meet all required safety regulation standards and is tested to ensure compliance!
