Nice high loft bed

"My 4 year old loves her new bed. It’s definitely high up but she loves it. I hired a handyman to put it together and he did it in about an hour. It’s a little wobbly but nothing to be concerned about. I lay with her all the time and feel completely safe. I love the style. It’s perfect for her small room. I’m able to put all her toys underneath. I chose the color white. It looks great. Paint hasn’t chipped yet so all in all I’m happy with my purchase."

I had gotten a different

"I had gotten a different loft bed from another company that said it held 300lbs, it was super wobbly and felt like it was going to break, I took it apart and ordered this one instead. 100% better, feels super sturdy, not too bad to assemble, I felt safe having myself and my 7 year old go on it and he noticed a huge difference too. I would order from max and lily again"

The loft bed met all

"The loft bed met all of our needs — not too high but high enough to put a couch underneath for cuddle book time, decent price point, large enough for a mom and a kid to sleep. The bed is a little wobbly but I don’t expect it could be any better unless you’re spending 1000+ on a bed. It feels strong enough to accommodate what we need it to just makes a little noise when wiggling a lot (as in my kids wrestling around up there, not just normal sleep movements). Overall, a great bed for the price and after looking at a million online, I’m glad this is the one we purchased! PS it wasn’t hard to put together but my husband and I underestimated the time it would take to do so with 3 kids running around!! We thought 2 hours would suffice but it was more like 3+ with meeting all the kids needs while attempting to build it!"

Looks nice

"We bought the full standard loft bed in white and just assembled it today; it took 2 adults a little over 2 hours. It looks nice and my daughter likes it but I’m not convinced the bed is sturdy enough. It wobbles a bit when my daughter is on it. The materials seem soft (tightening the screws resulted in cracking sounds; and I’m not impressively strong). The directions were confusing. They concurrently outline the ‘left’ and ‘right’ setup on some pages (the setups refer to ladder placement). The directions would be easier to follow if they parceled out each setup on dedicated pages. There were a few inaccuracies in the directions: pages 17&18 were meant for ‘left’ side setup but were listed as ‘right’ side setup / the lower support beams running the length of the bed showed the dowel on top and screw on bottom, but only one of the beams should be placed that way, the other needs to be flipped so the screw is on top and the dowel on bottom. The directions weren’t impossible to follow, just annoying. Lastly, the company uses tiny stickers to number each beam. Usually those types of stickers come off easily; however these stickers refused to come off. I had to use a soft cloth with warm sudsy water, then resorted to using my nail to scrap. The paint wound up getting damaged in a few places (I pointed those out in a few photos). Overall it’s a nice looking bed, but we’ll see how it holds up."

GREAT STURDY BED EASY ASSEMBLY

"The bed is good/sturdy real wood and I was easily able to put this together by myself."

Margie F. (5/5)

Unstable with irregular pieces

"Yes it is quality material but not terribly easy to assemble. The dowels were all different sizes and i had to try several times to find a hole that would fit. The finishing cap-pieces presented a similar challenge. The finished product is wobbly and not terribly secure. Ill probably try to secure with additional cross-beams. Disappointed since my last Max & Lily bed (basic twin) was wonderful."

Q&A

In some pictures there are floor-level horizontal supports on both sides, and in other pictures the only floor-level horizontal support is in the back. Are both ways structurally safe?
HI Jamie! Both are structurally safe.
Can you use as a standard bed frame once you are done with the loft?
Hi Jennifer! No, this bed is only meant to be a loft bed.
This says it’s a full size loft bed, but the details say they recommend buying a twin size mattress. Can you confirm if this is a full size loft or twin size loft?
Hi this is a full size loft bed and we do recommend a full size mattress!
I am trying to fit a daybed underneath? What is the measurement between the posts long ways? Daybed is 78 3/8 inches long
Hey Abby! Thank you for reaching out with your question. Unfortunately, this bed only has 75 inches of space between the posts, so the daybed would not fit underneath. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with in the meantime.
dimensions?
The high loft bed offers dimensions, measuring 80” L x 57.75” W x 67.75” H without the ladder, and 98.25" L x 57.75" W x 67.75" H with the ladder.
How high are rails on top?
Hello, The Full-Size High Loft bed has 14" of total guard rail. Thank you
Could this be for a 5 year old?
Hello, Generally, we recommend raised beds like bunks and lofts for children 6 years and up - but you know your child best! Thank you
I’m a 19 yr old looking for a loft and I really like this one… if I weigh about 190 would the ladder be sturdy enough for me to use every day?
Hello, Per our warning label only one person on the ladder at a time weight no more than 200lbs. Thank you.
Since the length is 82.5in, can I slide a queen bed on the floor parallel to the loft?
Hello, A queen bed will fit under this loft making an L shaped bunk. Thank you and have a great day
Can the ladder be placed on either end of the bed or does it have to be configured as shown in pictures? What is the space needed for the ladder (dimensions, how far does it come out off the bed)?
Hello, You can choose the end of entry upon assembly. Thank you and have a great day
