The maximimum thickness we recommend for either bed is 8 inches, but our 5-inch full memory foam mattress is the best fit to ensure maximum safety. - When unbunked, the picture shows identical beds. Does that mean the headboards and footboard are interchangeable? The bottom bunk in the bunked picture shows two tall head/footboard and the top bunk shows to short.

- Hello I understand the concern you have regarding possible VOCs. Low VOC means there are no harmful chemicals included in our paints and finishes. Our products are tested using independent, third-party accredited test laboratories. We test yearly for chemicals of high concern (presently 66 different chemicals), and those with high levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). All of our finishes and glues comply with current US standards (incl. ASTM, EN71 and CPSIA standards). Our products also comply with European EN747, EN71, and Reach XVII Safety standards. The VOC detection level is 0.5mg/kg and all of our finishes test “None” - (i.e. nothing detected). You can be assured that our products are safe for use. Our products’ glues and finishes are tested for and comply with current furniture and children’s furniture standards & regulations.
