What types of bunk beds does Max & Lily sell?

We offer twin-over-twin and twin-over-full bunk beds, plus low bunk configurations designed for younger kiddos or rooms with lower ceilings. Most of our bunk beds can also be separated into two standalone twin beds, which means they grow right along with your family. Pretty cool, right?

Are Max & Lily bunk beds safe for young children?

Safety is something we take really seriously. Our bunk beds include full-length guardrails on the top bunk, meet ASTM F1427 bunk bed safety standards, and are finished with low-VOC, non-toxic paint. We recommend the top bunk for kids ages 6 and up, and we're always happy to help parents find the right configuration for their little ones.

Can Max & Lily bunk beds be separated into two twin beds?

Most of our bunk bed models are designed to do exactly that — separate into two individual twin beds whenever you need them to. It makes our bunk beds a smart long-term investment. Use them as bunks while the kids share a room, then split them apart if they eventually want their own setups. Two beds for the price of one!

What mattress size do I need for a Max & Lily bunk bed?

For our twin-over-twin bunk beds, you'll need standard twin mattresses (38 x 75 inches) on both levels. For twin-over-full models, it's a twin on top and a full mattress (54 x 75 inches) on the bottom. Our own Max & Lily mattresses are sized to fit perfectly, so grabbing a bundle during the Fourth of July sale is a super easy way to get everything set up at once.
