My kid wanted the space

"My kid wanted the space underneath to hang out but wasn't comfortable with the high loft. The low loft bed was the perfect solution and this bedframe had the highest advertised clearance underneath (for a low loft style). The quality of the bed is. . . probably worth what I paid for it. It's not an heirloom piece and is made from cheap pine. I'm planning on reinforcing it by cutting a thin sheet of plywood to fit inside the frame so it doesn't move as much. Someone on Amazon had a tip to add more slats under the mattress and I may do that too. I noticed many loose bolts after 3 nights of use by a 70lb kid, but after I tightened them again, they've stayed tight. I don't know how anyone would assemble this by themselves, like when you have to stand up the two sides to put the middle rails in. The white color is in between a solid white and a white-wash. I can still smell it off-gassing and it's been assembled over a week. I bought a 5" twin mattress off Amazon and added a foam and a down topper bc it was quite firm and there's still a safe amount of bar space. Your fitted sheet will show through the bars so get something cute. We hung some semi-sheer fabric and glowy string lights underneath and it's a tween dream hangout spot. I'm glad I bought it because my kid loves it and I didn't pay big bucks for something she may use for a year or two then grow out of."

This is our 2nd loft

"This is our 2nd loft bed we have purchased and my boys love their beds! The color was darker than the picture bit its a really nice color. Easy to assemble my husband built in about 1hour! The price and quality is amazing!"

Cute bed

"Overall we do like the bed, it was not too difficult to assemble. We have been using it for a few weeks for our daughter who is almost 3 so pretty small and the ladder hook has warped and is no longer secure, the screw is small that was holding this portion in place and it ripped out and cracked the frame right there. Not sure what was going on when this happened but the ladder is not very safe until we can get this fixed. It seems like the ladder hook was bent pretty easily, our daughter is less than 30 lbs"

"It looks nice but is not sturdy whatsoever which is extremly disappointing. If my husband cant figure out a way to stabalize it, we will be returning. The way it is now I wouldnt trust it with my 5 year old on and shes tiny."

Sturdy & easy to assemble.

"At first I was a little intimidated by the amount of pieces that arrived, but was pleasantly surprised at how easy and straight forward the assembly process was. You definitely need two adults to assemble. Feels sturdy and perfectly safe for my 3 year old. He LOVES it! We also got him the little bookshelf to hang on the side for his water & books. I wish there were more specific dimensions listed on the website. Like what is the clearance from the floor to bed, so I can know how tall of a bookshelf I can slide underneath. Also the width of the bed that's listed seems to include the ladder. I would've liked to know the width of the bed frame not including the ladder as well. It fits well in his small bedroom but as a planner I needed to know these details for arranging the room layout."

Love this bed!

"We love the bed! We bought it for our 5 year old son, and it is the perfect height for him. He loves the space underneath, which we made a reading area with cushions, blankets, and lights. The bed feels very sturdy, the height of the rails feel safe, and the materials seem of good quality. It looks like a very nice quality piece of furniture. Great purchase, and great value!"

White low loft bed

"I purchased 2 loft beds from Max and Lily. A low loft bed and the mid century high bed. I think the white low loft bed is flimsy and I do not recommend. Its ok for s toddler but it shakes and does not feel stable when i go up there to change sheets (I am 140lbs). The high mid century low bed is amazing."

Terrible

"The bed looks nice but is so wobbly. I literally touch it with a finger and you see it move and hear it creek. I am scared it's dangerous for my child. I reached out to customer service and provided proof of how terrible the bed is and they won't allow me a return."

Q&A

How wide are the slats, and how much space between them? Trying to identify if it's a compatible base for our mattress!
Hi Colin! The slats are 9 inches apart and about 3 inches wide.

Thanks for your question! The ladder cannot be installed fully vertically.

What is the minimum age for a child to use this bed?
Generally, we recommend raised beds like bunks and lofts for children 6 years and up - but you know your child best! For younger children, we recommend the staircase entry for raised beds, as this is the safest and easiest way to access a raised bed like a Bunk or Loft.

Hello, The under bed height is 33.25" Thank you
Will this bed ever be offered in the pecan color? I love this. But all your color options other than white are very cool toned and I need a warm toned lighter wood.
